It was another early start, not only to capture the best light but also to avoid the crowds. I’ve photographed Rhodes’s old town many times, often before daybreak.
On this trip, I aimed to photograph around the Grand Master’s Palace, which opens to the public only at 8 am.
I managed to convince my wife and children to join me by promising to buy them breakfast. I wanted them to experience the historic palace in the warm morning light, without the crowds and in the more comfortable early heat.
